The Duke's Road

The Duke's Road to the Trossachs, Aberfoyle, Perthshire, Scotland

by Alex Hamilton

Formerly a rough toll road owned by the Duke of Montrose, it was reconstructed and opened to traffic in 1932 to provide an alternative route to the Trossachs. It is a mountain pass and offers magnificent views of the Trossachs country. This picture shows the road as it leaves Aberfoyle.
